Peoria - Home Burglary Two people burglarized a home after one of them went through the backyard's doggie door after a non-physical confrontation with the residence's dog.

Peoria Police seek the public’s help in identifying male and female suspects in a surveillance video who stole several items from inside a residence last month.

The incident occurred in the area of 74th Avenue and Cactus Road on Dec. 8 at about 12:30 p.m.

The suspects pulled up to the house and backed into the driveway. They walked up to the front door and knocked. When no one answered the male suspect jumped the wall and entered the rear yard of the residence.

Peoria Police spokesperson Brandon Sheffert said it t is common for suspects to double check with a knock to see if anyone is home.

The male suspect encountered a dog but had come prepared with some sort of food. The male then entered the home through a dog door and opened the front door for the female suspect.

They stole multiple computers and various electronic items, as well as an air soft rifle. The suspects then left the dog outside when they drove away.

A neighbor found the dog and was able to return the dog safely to the owner.

The suspects appear to be a Caucasian male and female, between 25 to 35 years old. The vehicle they arrived in was a black, 4-door Chevrolet Impala with a temporary license plate.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in this video or has information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Myers of the Peoria Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit at 623-773-8973.
