Peoria Police are investigating an armed robbery at a residence where officials two men assaulted a person at the home.

Police said the men, posing as gas company workers, showed up at a home in the 12000 block of North 79th Avenue and knocked on the door. When it was answered, the men forced their way into the home and assaulted the victim, who was later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The house was burglarized and police said the suspects stole the victim's truck, a black 2006 Ford F-150 with the license plate BYM1992.

The suspects were described as White males with tattoos on their arms. No other more specific information was available, police said.

No arrests have been made. Police are looking for more information. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Peoria Police Department Tip Phone Line at (623) 773-7045 or Silent Witness (480-WITNESS).
