Daren Howard has been booked as the suspect who was armed with a knife and shot and injured by Glendale police, authorities said.
The Buckeye Police Department, which had been assigned to investigate the officer-involved shooting stated in a release Monday, May 25, that Howard was booked on Sunday on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct with a weapon, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment.
In an earlier release, the Glendale Police Department reported that just before 10 a.m. May 20, officers responded to a business in the area of 63rd Avenue and Bell Road after receiving a call. Witnesses said a man and a woman arrived at a pawn shop where a woman attempted to purchase a firearm.
