SUSD Superintendent gets contract extension, raise

Dr. Scott Menzel will stay on as Scottsdale Unified School District superintendent for at least three more years and got a raise to boot.

The district governing board voted 3-2 during its April 30 meeting to extend Menzel’s contract for two years through 2027 and up his annual base salary $9,000 to $225,000.

His performance pay bonus will remain the same, up to 20% of his base salary, and he will continue to get $20,000 annually for retirement pay.
