SUSD stops suit against Maricopa County over tax assessment

The $23.7 million Scottsdale Unified School District paid back to the Maricopa County Assessors Office as part of the Qasimyar lawsuit is gone.

It’s not coming back.

The district’s governing board came out of executive session during its Feb. 11 meeting and voted unanimously to end its contract with Ballard Spahr, a law firm representing the district in a suit to recover the money it had paid the county.
