School districts around the country are holding their breath as they prepare for the coming school year because President Donald Trump has frozen nearly $7 billion promised to them by Congress before he came into office - and Scottsdale Unified School District is no exception.
Arizona’s cut of the money comes to $118 million and Scottsdale Unified School District’s share is just under $1.1 million.
The money was due July 1, but Trump is holding it under review as classes are set to begin for Scottsdale Unified School District is set to begin classes Aug. 4.
