SUSD Governing Board rejects bathroom policy

Proposed policy would have allowed students to use single-person bathrooms

The battle of the bathrooms is over.

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board voted down during its Oct. 24 meeting a proposed policy change that would allow any student in the district to request the use of a private bathroom.

The vote was a 2-2 split — board president Julie Cieniawski was not present — meaning the motion to approve the change failed.
