Where students in the Pima Elementary School boundary will go in the future and still get transportation is still up in the air.
The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board voted 4-1 during its Feb. 10 meeting to put the question off to its next meeting, in exactly one month.
The decision needs to be made because the board voted in December to close Pima and Echo Canyon K-8 schools next year as a cost-saving measure to help fill an approximately $8 million gap in next year’s budget created in part by declining enrollment and low state funding.
