SUSD Governing Board considering closing two schools

More schools may be under consideration in the future

Two Scottsdale Unified School District schools are in danger of being closed down because of declining enrollment across the district.

The district governing board voted 3-2 during its Oct. 7 meeting to begin the process of considering possibly closing Echo Canyon K-8 school and Pima Elementary School.
The vote was to set a public hearing on Nov. 13 to hear from the public about closing the two schools.
