LEGAL SETTLEMENT

SUSD governing board approves settlement in lawsuit against it, Greenburgs

District insurance to pay $25,000

Parents who sued the Scottsdale Unified School District, former governing board member Jann-Michael Greenburg and his father Mark Alan Greenburg over a dossier the Greenburgs kept on political enemies will receive a $200,000 legal settlement, pending final approval by a judge.

That breaks down to $150,000 from the Greenburgs’ insurance, $25,000 from the district’s insurance on behalf of Jann-Michael Greenburg and $25,000 from the Arizona School Risk Retention Trust on behalf of the district.

The Arizona School Risk Retention Trust is a nonprofit organization that provides public school districts and community colleges with property and liability coverages.
