SUSD classroom spending above state average

Scottsdale Unified School District fared well in an annual spending report measuring 2023 levels recently published by the Arizona Auditor General’s office.

The district beat the state average in everything from classroom spending to teacher’s salaries, which also allowed for other measures of success like student to teacher ratio and the number of years experience teachers had.

Scottsdale Unified School District spent 71.7% of its budget on classroom costs in 2003. That is 2.6% more than the state average of 69.1%.
