SUSD board looks at change in policy for police interviewing students

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board is considering a change to a policy designed to encourage police officers to contact children at home, rather than at school.

The board gave a first read to the policy change during its regularly scheduled meeting Feb. 13.

The policy change would require police officers, other than school resource officers, who enter a school campus to interview a student to fill out a form before doing so.
