Surprise looks to outpace growth with transportation projects

The numbers are staggering.

More than $100 million in road improvements are now under construction in Surprise. More than $10 million of projects are in the design phase. And more than $7.5 million in signal projects are under construction or in design right now.

The growing city needs ways to get people from one place to another, a big task as the Maricopa Association of Governments projects Surprise’s population to grow past 200,000 people by 2030.
