Surprise to stage another music festival

City plans event to coincide with end of spring training

Surprise is taking another swing at a music festival with national acts.

The city announced the Out of the Park Music Fest, which will be held over eight hours on Saturday, March 23 at Mark Coronado Park, next to Surprise Stadium.

It comes off the heals of the Bases and Brews Festival last year, which ran over three days and featured two days of music acts, including country singer Chris Lane and pop group Walk the Moon.
