Surprise to close offices for Presidents Day
Holiday calls for modified trash schedule

City of Surprise administrative offices and libraries will be closed Monday, Feb. 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day, and the trash collection schedule will be modified.
Trash Collection
City of Surprise trash customers only are reminded there will be a modified trash collection schedule that week that will postpone collection by one day.
There will be no service on Monday. Collections will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
To receive weekly reminders about the pickup schedule, including holiday weeks, sign up to receive texts or emails on the My Surprise App.
The app is available in both the Apple and Android app stores, or online at surpriseaz.gov/mysurprise.
Note that not all Surprise residents are city of Surprise sanitation customers and may not experience a change in pickup service. Check the service provider.

City Programs
Libraries – All three Surprise libraries will be closed for the holiday – Asante, Hollyhock and Northwest Regional. Note Northwest Regional is closed through Thursday, March 2 for renovations. It reopens at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 3.
Parks and Recreation – The following programs and activities will still take place: Teen Adventures Renaissance Festival field trip, youth flag football, basketball and kickball practices and skills classes (no league practices at Dysart schools), plus adult seniors open gym basketball.
