As part of the larger Desert Oasis yard sale Saturday, April 22, two local artists will open up their studio in the northwest Surprise community.

John Marko and Karen Izzi will have loads of pottery for sale at clearout prices from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pottery Garage, 26852 N. 175th Lane.

Classes and private instruction are available. Visitors can try out a clay wheel as well.

This pop up art studio event also celebrates Earth Day.

Izzi founded Conscious Creations Art Studio in 2012, on a mission to support and promote other artists and writers within the community. Izzi is a certified Alzheimer's caregiver. She is a member of several botanical gardens.
