Surprise starts work on Dale Lane ‘apron’ with 163rd

City has no long-term plans to pave rest of crumbled road

Surprise does not have plans to repave all of Dale Lane in its northwest corner, but it is starting to rebuild the crumbled roadway.

The Szeto Family Trust agreed to a quit claim deed at the June 7 Surprise City Council for the right of way on the first 1,320 feet on Dale Lane west of its intersection with 163rd Avenue.

Work on this “apron” of Dale Lane has begun, Surprise Community Development Director Lloyd Abrams stated in an email.
