Surprise Stadium box office opens for ticket sales Feb. 4

Despite mostly good weather, Surprise Stadium and many other Cactus League stadiums had plenty of open space on the outfield lawn during the first week of spring training in 2020, then COVID-19 shut the Cactus League down in mid-March.

Surprise Stadium, and the Cactus League games there every spring, remain the centerpiece of the city’s sports tourism strategy. But because the stadium’s irrigation line runs through the outfield, it cannot host non-baseball events or festivals out of season.

Despite mostly good weather, Surprise Stadium and many other Cactus League stadiums had plenty of open space on the outfield lawn during the first week of spring training.
The box office at Surprise Stadium, spring training home of the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, will open for in-person ticket sales beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.
Surprise Stadium will host 30 games this season, including matchups against every Cactus League team. Additionally, the Royals have been selected to host a World Baseball Classic exhibition game at Surprise Stadium against Great Britain.
Box office hours are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 4 and 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 5.
From Feb. 6-16 the box office is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Then, from Feb. 17 through March 25 the box office is open daily starting at 10 a.m., with closing hours varying by event.
During the 2023 season, box office transactions will be cashless. Accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Single-game ticket prices range from $8 to $55. Purchase tickets in advance of game day and save at least $2 per ticket.
