Surprise spring training games canceled 3 more days

March 8 is earliest games can begin

At least the Surprise Spring Training 5K and 1K Fun Run is still on the schedule.

The games surrounding the fun, however, are still up in the air as the Major League Baseball owners’ lockout continues and three more days of games were canceled over the weekend.

MLB owners had signaled late last week that a deal needed to be reached by Feb. 28 or else the regular season’s start would be delayed and real games would be lost.
