Surprise served 78,000 shots at COVID POD

City led charge in Banner Del Web parking lot

The Surprise-led vaccination POD at Banner Del Webb Medical Center was able to distribute about 78,000 shots in arms from December through its closing in mid-March.

That’s according to a wrapup report Surprise Emergency Manager Tracy Montgomery gave the Surprise City Council earlier this month.

Between Dec. 21 and Jan. 31 about 25,000 vaccines were administered there. From Feb. 1 through March 18, about 53,000 more inoculations were completed.
