Surprise Resource Center adds Friday afternoon hours

The Surprise Resource Center is expanding its hours of operation starting Friday, Oct. 6.

On Fridays, the resource center will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Previously, it closed at noon.

Additionally, it will now be open on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All other hours will remain the same.

The resource center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Surprise Resource Center, along with a wide range of partners, works to provide supportive services to individuals and families.

These services include the following:

  • Free health screenings
  • Application assistance for AHCCCS, SNAP, KIDSCARE, and Marketplace
  • Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
  • Parent education and support for families with children ages 0-5
  • Veteran navigator/ benefits counseling
  • Employment services
  • Rental and utility assistance
  • Homeless services
  • Domestic violence support groups and services
  • Emergency food boxes
