The incident occurred Feb. 17 before 7 p.m. at the Wal-Mart in the area of 13700 West Bell Road.

According to the Surprise Police Department, a Hispanic woman picked up an envelope filled with an unknown amount of money after the victim dropped it while walking out of the store.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic female with long brown hair and wearing a long-sleeved red shirt, immediately left the store after picking up the envelope. She was accompanied by a Hispanic male, with short brown hair, wearing a black t-shirt, and pushing a shopping cart, and a Hispanic boy, who was wearing a black t-shirt and brown pants. They were later seen leaving the parking lot in a dark-colored four-door hatchback vehicle.

Anyone with any information leading to the location or identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Coats at 623-222-4316, or call 623-222-TIPS (8477). Email tips to crimetips@surpriseaz.gov.
