The Surprise Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men who are believed to be involved in the use of credit cards which were stolen during the commission of vehicle burglaries.

Surprise police recently sent out a request to the public and received several anonymous tips helping the department identify the two suspects.

However, the police need further assistance locating them.

The two suspects were identified as Russell Fletcher, a white male in his 30’s, and John Koop, also a white male in his 30’s.

John Koop (Surprise PD)

On Jan. 31, police received calls regarding several burglaries in scattered locations. In two of these cases the suspects broke the windows of the vehicles and stole credit cards. The suspects later used the cards at a local business.

Video images showed one of the suspects in a grey pickup truck.

Anyone with any information leading to the location or identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Coats at 623-222-4316 or 623-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be emailed to crimetips@surpriseaz.gov.
