Surprise PD continues sex-crime investigation of former Scottsdale detention officer

8 counts of sexual conduct with a minor among charges

Surprise police said today they are continuing their investigation of a former Scottsdale Police Department detention officer, who resigned after being accused of multiple child sex charges.

Tony Michael Ekiss was arrested June 12 by Surprise police and faces eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor, police said.

In addition, he is facing charges of child molestation, furnishing harmful items to minors, aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, sexual exploitation of a minor and surreptitious photography, filming and videotaping, authorities said.
