City of Surprise administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Some programs and facilities will have modified hours for the holiday.

City of Surprise trash customers only are reminded there will be a modified trash collection schedule that week that will postpone collection by one day. There will be no service on Monday. Collections will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

To receive weekly reminders about the pickup schedule, including holiday weeks, sign up to receive texts or emails on the My Surprise App. The app is available in both the Apple and Android app stores or at surpriseaz.gov/mysurprise.

Note that not all Surprise residents are city of Surprise sanitation customers and may not experience a change in pickup service. Check with your service provider.

All three Surprise libraries will have modified hours for the holiday. Surprise Regional and Asante Libraries will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hollyhock will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Parks and recreation programming at city locations will proceed as planned.

There will be no youth sports practices at Dysart Unified School District sites.

Review your program schedule to confirm whether an activity is scheduled for the holiday.

The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to noon on the holiday.
