City of Surprise administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Some programs and facilities will have modified hours for the holiday.
City of Surprise trash customers only are reminded there will be a modified trash collection schedule that week that will postpone collection by one day. There will be no service on Monday. Collection will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Note that not all Surprise residents are Surprise sanitation customers and may not experience a change in pickup service. Please check with your service provider.

All three Surprise libraries will have modified hours for the holiday. Surprise Regional and Asante Libraries will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hollyhock will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Parks & Recreation programming, including special interest classes, adaptive recreation, Tot Time, and aquatics are canceled on Monday, Jan. 15.
Youth basketball, flag football and kickball practices will be at city facilities only, no practices at Dysart Schools. The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Center will be open for only casual play until noon.
