When the Big 12 Conference brought Arizona State and Arizona into the fold during conference realignment last year, little did the Surprise Sports and Tourism Department know it would have an effect here.
The conference announced this week that it is moving its end-of-year baseball tournament from Texas to Surprise Stadium, starting next year.
The spring training home of the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals will be the host site for the 12-team Big 12 Baseball Championship from May 20 to 23, 2026.
