Surprise mayor now receiving death threats

Police investigating as arrest incident goes viral nationally

Surprise Mayor Skip Hall has been laying low since the Aug. 20 city council meeting where he ordered the removal of a resident speaking to the council, which ultimately led to her arrest.

But Hall’s haters have been out in full force online.

Some of that hate has apparently crossed over into death threats against the mayor, said Councilmember Chris Judd, who has spoken with the mayor.
