Since legal sports gambling began Sept. 9 in Arizona, the focus has been on betting apps and sportsbooks opening in major sports stadiums and tribal casinos, the apparatus around the sports betting industry also is appearing around the state.
Name-brand national companies and arms of Las Vegas casinos are running approved betting apps and sports books. But related industries, such as handicapping, can have more local roots.
Surprise resident Jerry Valdez has been involved in sports gambling for 10 years. He and two out-of-state partners registered KingCappers Sports Consulting as an LLC in Arizona on Sept. 9.
