Surprise resident Gregg Province is one of the lucky ones who caught P.A.D. in time before losing a limb, his doctor says.

It started with nightly leg cramps. Then a foot injury that didn’t heal and turned black.

At first, Gregg Province ignored the warning signs because he was in his own words “hardheaded like most men.”

But his wife was worried.
