Surprise joining new chamber of commerce

City teams up with southwest Valley cities to serve businesses

The city of Surprise is teaming up with a new chamber of commerce — this one far to the south of the city.

The city council on Nov. 4 voted 5-2 to join the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce for a year and possibly longer.

The SVCC, which already serves Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, El Mirage and Tolleson, plans to provide the city with additional resources to help local businesses.
