Surprise holiday party boosts Nadaburg’s spirits

Businesses team up to provide gifts to students

For the third straight year, a group of Nadaburg School District students are having a happy holidays thanks to the Surprise business community.

American Family Insurance agent Raymond Grim and Independent Newsmedia's Greg Garcia helped organize the holiday dinner and gift event for about 250 underprivileged students in the district on Dec. 19 at Dillon’s at Western Trails Ranch in Morristown, north of Surprise.

“One thing that has been consistent is that the families are very thankful for the event,” Grim said. “I walked around to talk to parents and they all were so happy to experience the event. I heard ‘thank you’ probably 100 times that night.”
