Surprise Fiesta Grande returns in-person Oct. 9

Celebrate Surprise’s cultural heritage with food, music and fun at the eighth annual Surprise Fiesta Grande.

This street-style celebration, presented by the city of Surprise Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with 101.9 FM Radio La Campesina, will be 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Original Town Site, located on Hollyhock Street, north of Grand Avenue.

Event admission and parking are free.

Attractions and activities include a classic car show, authentic Mexican food, food trucks, festive beverages, free kids’ play zone, piñata plaza and a vendor village, organized by local contributing organizations and sponsors.

The Surprise Fiesta Grande entertainment lineup will include live Latin musical performances at the listed times:

Main Stage:
5-6 p.m. - Tradiciones Dance Company

6-7 p.m. - Grupo Caribe
7-8 p.m. - La Mera Mera Banda La Llegadora
8-10 p.m. - Str8up

Community Stage:
5-7 p.m. - Mariachi Mexico Nuevo
