The city of Surprise has released the schedule of events for the upcoming Fiesta Grande event, featuring a main stage and roaming entertainment.
This year’s celebration is set for 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N Bullard Ave., a new location from previous years in the Original Town Site.
This family-friendly event, presented by Felix Construction, celebrates Surprise’s unique history, culture, traditions and community. It includes an evening of live music, food, dancing and classic cars.
Admission and parking are free.
The Surprise Fiesta Grande entertainment lineup will include live musical performances, lucha libre wrestling show times and a short fireworks display.
The main stage schedule is as follows:
5 to 6 p.m. — Tradiciones Dance Company
6 p.m. — Mayor’s Welcome
6:15 to 7:30 p.m. — Latinos De Alma
7:45 to 9 p.m. — Rhythm Express
The roaming entertainment schedule:
5 to 9 p.m. — Mariachi Del Monte
The Lucha Libre show times are 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The fiesta fireworks display is scheduled for 7:30 to 7:35 p.m.
Other attractions and activities include a classic car show, a free kids’ play zone, a piñata plaza, a vendor village organized by local contributing organizations and sponsors and festive beverages.
The following food trucks will also be available at the event: Elote Man AZ, El Pastorcito Taqueria, Elisa’s The Foodie, Frios Pops, The Little Squeeze, The Queen’s Corn, Diner On Wheels, Mozzarepa, The Snowy Churro, The Bulgogi Truck, Az Hawian Shrimp, Dungan Dogs, White Mountain Food Co., Puffy Taco and Mr. Munchies.
