Michael Norman and his wife, Susie, only wanted to get their daughter out of harm’s way — but never did they expect it to get as bad as it did.

“We were living together to take her out of the domestic violence situation,” Norman said. “I never thought this was something he was going to do.”

The Normans owned the Surprise home where last Friday’s deadly standoff, fire and shooting of a 7-month-old baby made national news.
