When Ryan and Melissa Langohr moved into their newly built home in the Northwest Ranch neighborhood in 2002, the rest of the subdivision wasn’t even finished yet.

Sarival Avenue was still a dirt road behind their house, so little could they know that it could one day become a possible death trap.

Yet, the Langohrs and their 20- and 18-year-old children have experienced 18 separate crashes behind their home since moving in — and they feared for their lives after three of them breached their backyard wall, including two close calls inside the home.
