Surprise extends deal to stock fish at community lake

Game and Fish, Surprise agree to another year

Fish will continue to be stocked at the Surprise Community Lake thanks to an extension of the agreement between the city and the Arizona Game and Fish Commission.

The City Council agreed June 20 to the one-year extension of the current intergovernmental agreement that was set to expire June 30.

The two sides have worked together on an urban fishing program at the lake since December 2002.
