Surprise City Council special meeting to focus on own government

The Surprise City Council has scheduled a special meeting to discuss how its council-manager form of government works.

The meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 will cover the structure of Surprise's city government, how the city council and city manager work together and what constitutes meetings.

The council is also scheduled to meet for its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 at City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza.
