Surprise City Center appears in incubator’s future plans

AZ TechCelerator looking for home after 15 years at old site

The Surprise City Council appears receptive to moving the city’s AZ TechCelerator business incubator program to City Center as the downtown area takes shape.

Economic Development Director Jeanine Jerkovic updated the council on the benefits of moving the soon-to-be-rebranded program from far east Surprise in the old City Hall building to a new location being built on Elm Street in the City Center.

“The more I looked at it, the more I realized that if I didn’t present this opportunity to council, I would be derelict in my responsibilities because it turned out to be a really good idea,” Jerkovic told the Council during a Dec. 3 work session.
