Voters will be asked to decide two separate general obligation bond questions on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
One question is authorizing a bond for transportation projects to reduce traffic congestion and improve traffic safety and one question is authorizing a bond for public safety facilities to include a fire station, police substation and land for future public safety facilities.

Ballots for the city of Surprise special bond election will be mailed starting on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Voters will be asked to decide two separate general obligation bond questions on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
One question is authorizing a bond for transportation projects to reduce traffic congestion and improve traffic safety and one question is authorizing a bond for public safety facilities to include a fire station, police substation and land for future public safety facilities.
Information on the projects, funding costs, tax impacts and public meetings can be found at surpriseaz.gov/Bond.
All eligible voters will receive a ballot in the mail, even if they are not signed up for mail-in ballots, since this is an election in an odd-numbered year. The registration deadline to participate in this election is Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Residents can check their registration status at BeBallotReady.vote and register to vote online or via printable form at elections.maricopa.gov.
The city clerk’s office is also open for voter registration from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Fridays, including Oct. 10.
Voters may cast a replacement ballot at an in-person voting location if the mailed ballot was lost, spoiled, destroyed or not received.
On-site ballot replacement will begin on Monday, Oct. 30 at Surprise City Hall in the Community Room.
The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office recommends mailing a ballot by Oct. 31.
