Surprise begins plans for General Plan update

City of Surprise leadership and staff unveiled the initial plan and timeline for updating the city’s general plan to the City Council at its May 3 meeting.

The general plan provides the vision and policies that determine how Surprise will grow and develop. It addresses city issues such as land use, open space, transportation, infrastructure and services.

And residents will have a say on the plan well before they are able to vote on it, in August 2024.
