Sunrise Mountain’s Abbott becomes badminton believer

Mustangs’ ace wrapping high school sports career this month

Badminton, the last sport Karah Abbott tried to play, will likely end up being the last competitive sport the Sunrise Mountain senior plays.

Abbott is the team’s No. 1 player and entered October undefeated in 16 matches — eight singles and eight doubles — for the 8-1 Mustangs.

She said she is looking forward to competition for the Division II individual state title Oct. 22-23 and leading Sunrise Mountain’s charge for a state title starting Oct. 25.
