Connecticut routs Mercury 84-67

It wasn’t the ideal reunion.

Phoenix Mercury fans welcomed their team back to the Valley for the first time in 620 days after they played the 2020 season in a bubble in Florida.

But the Mercury (2-2) were outmatched by the Connecticut Sun (4-0) Friday night, who routed the Mercury 84-67 at Phoenix Suns Arena in the Mercury’s home opener.
