Sun City's Sundial Center as theater?

Committee discusses retractable seating

Sundial Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave., was discussed as a potential site for plays with retractable seating added.

The Recreation Center of Sun City Strategic Alternatives Committee, during its June 16 meeting, had a lively discussion about the retractable seating alternative. While no form recommendation was reached at that time, members acknowledged that the folding seating might be a good addition to Sundial, it may not be an adequate location for a performing arts center.

The committee will meet 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, when member Karen McAdam, who is also an RCSC board member, was expected to make a presentation on the community standalone theaters in Sun City West, Pebble Creek and Green Valley.
