The Palo Verde Artists art club has elected their officers for the coming year. Judy Wright is Vice President, Josh Thompson is Treasurer, Barb Zanoni is President and Kathy Palmer is Secretary.
Palo Verde Artists offers classes and workshops in watercolor, oil, pastels, acrylic, colored and graphite pencil, pen and ink, alcohol ink and drawing for artists of all skill levels and experience. In addition, every week they offer an afternoon for drawing portraits with live models, a morning for painting with friends and an afternoon for artwork critiques.
The club provides opportunities for members to exhibit and sell their art work by displaying it on the gallery walls of the art room, in the display case in the hallway outside the club room, at the Sun City Arts and Crafts Festival in the fall and the Palo Verde Art Show in the spring. The art room features work space, easels, a library of art books available to borrow and a mini kitchen.
Monthly meetings are noon the third Monday of each month, October-April, in the East Hall of the Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave.
The club room is located on the second level of Sundial. Membership in Palo Verde Artists is $10 per year and is open to Recreation Center of Sun City cardholders only.
