The Sun City Women’s Chorus presents its annual Christmas concert, “A Christmas Celebration,” 1:30 pm Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Sundial Auditorium. Tickets are available for $5 from chorus members or at the door.

“Chorus members have rehearsed for months under the direction of Velda Jensen and accompanist Linda Shirck to bring our audience an afternoon of quality entertainment,” said chorus President Jane Carey. “The ladies are loving the music for this season’s event, and we hope our audience will too.

This year’s program features “Spanish Lullaby,” “Chanukah Song,” “African Alleluia,” traditional carols and some jazzy standards such as “The Man with a Bag” and “Santa Baby.” The performance will last about 90 minutes with an intermission.

The chorus welcomes all women who love to sing to join this musical group.

“Music provides a spiritual uplift and as a chorus we enjoy the camaraderie of learning and performing together as a team,” said Carey. “Our efforts aim to further engage with and lift the spirits of our Sun City community.”
