The Sun City West Posse has been the eyes and ears of the community for the past 45 years and residents celebrated at the anniversary event March 16.
An open house offered residents an inside look into various equipment from Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Fire & Medical Authority. The mobile booking and K-9 units, helicopter, bomb squad, S.W.A.T. from MCSO, as well as Posse department representatives were there to interact with residents.
“We celebrated our 45 years of service after we started in 1979 with probably 15 people initially,” said Fran McElroy, executive staff operations officer.
