November kicked off in Sun City West with a reported oven fire.
Arizona Fire & Medical Authority Division Chief Ashley Losch wrote in a press release all residents made it out safely during the Nov. 10 incident. Crews arrived and saw nothing from the exterior. After further investigation there was no active fire in the oven, but there was a fire in the wall behind the stove. Fire crews keep the fire from spreading, according to Losch.
“This is a good opportunity to remind people, as the holidays approach while cooking up those delicious meals, you should never leave food on the stove or in the oven unattended,” she explained.
