Recreation Centers of Sun City West governing board director Donna Maloney resigned effective July 1, leaving a vacancy at the start of the new fiscal year.

Maloney announced her resignation, for personal reasons, at the end of the board’s annual meeting  June 23., after serving three years. Tim Hurley, board president who took the helm July 1, said once the position is filled, that director will serve through June 30, 2023.

The newly comprised board as of July 1 includes Hurley as president; Anne Brown as vice president; Dick Rhoades as treasurer; Jack Leary as secretary; and directors Roberta Davidson (Properties Committee); Sharon Hettick; Harry Stannebein (Golf Committee); and Lisa Vines (Sports Pavilion and Bowling Committee).

Directors are unpaid volunteers, elected by owner members in the annual election in March, serving three-year terms.
