Sun City well protected in crisis

Hazardous conditions covered

Sun City residents can rest assured they will be safe in the event of a hazardous materials incident in the community.

The Sun City Fire and Medical Department does not have a hazardous materials truck or specialized equipment for such an event, but personnel are trained and equipment is readily available from other communities, according to department officials.

Sun City Fire District board member Stephen Arnold brought the issue up at the district’s Nov. 15 business meeting. He said he was mostly concerned with illegal drug production in the community.
